Common FAQs
For new appointments, you can submit an appointment request on our website, and we will revert within 1- 2 days via phone call and/or WhatsApp. Alternatively, you can contact our clinic directly at 6334 2989, our staff will be happy to assist you with the booking.
For urgent appointments, or to reschedule/cancel an existing appointment, do call our clinic directly for a prompt response. Please also feel free to call us if you have any enquiries about the services we offer, we look forward to assisting you.
At The Dental Touch, we try our best to accommodate same-day appointments for dental emergencies like severe toothaches, swollen gums, trauma to the mouth or jaw, uncontrollable bleeding or dislodged crowns and fillings.
However, it is best to call our clinic to check for appointment availability on that day. During the phone call, you may leave your phone number with our staff to request for a call back in the event there is a cancellation.
It is generally recommended to schedule a dental check-up every 6 months.
However, the frequency may vary depending on your individual oral health condition. If you are a patient with existing decay or gum disease, or if you have difficulties maintaining good oral hygiene, our dentists may suggest more frequent visits every 3-4 months. Conversely, if you have excellent oral health with minimal dental issues, our dentist may approve visits every 9-12 months.
Yes, we are a Medisave-Accredited clinic so if you are a Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR), you can use your Medisave funds to pay for certain dental procedures performed on yourself or your approved dependants.
Approved dependants include parents, children, spouse, siblings and grandparents.
Please note that parents, children and spouses can be of any nationality. However, siblings and grandparents need to be a Singaporean Citizen or PR to use your Medisave.
Medisave can only be used for dental day surgical procedures including:
- Surgical removal of teeth/retained roots
- Wisdom teeth surgery
- Dental Implant Surgery
- Bone Grafting
- Sinus Lift
- Crown lengthening
- Biopsy
Initial Consultation
- Our dentist will conduct a thorough examination to assess your eligibility for Medisave claims.
- You will be informed of:
> The estimated claimable amount from Medisave.
> Any out-of-pocket costs (if applicable) that you may need to top up.
On the Day of Surgery
Please prepare the following:
- NRIC of the patient for verification.
- If claiming under a dependant’s Medisave, please bring their NRIC as well.
- Our clinic will provide a Medical Claims Authorisation Form (MCAF) for the Medisave account holder to sign. This authorizes us to submit the claim on your behalf.
Note: If there are insufficient funds in the Medisave account, the remaining balance must be paid on the day of treatment.
Medisave Claim Submission
- After your treatment, our clinic will submit the claim directly to CPF on your behalf.
- CPF will notify you once the claim is processed.
- You will receive a Medisave Claims Statement reflecting the deduction—typically within 1 to 2 weeks.
Yes, CHAS Blue, CHAS Orange, PG (Pioneer Generation) and MG (Merdeka Generation) cardholders can receive subsidies for selected dental services at our clinic.
Examples of dental services that are subsidized under CHAS include (but not limited to):
- Consultation
- Scaling and Polishing
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Dentures
- Crowns
- Root Canal Treatment
The amount of subsidy you can receive varies depending on the type of CHAS card you qualify for. CHAS green card holders are not eligible for any dental subsidies.
Do note that a clinical assessment with the dentist would be required to determine if you meet the CHAS claim guidelines for each dental procedure.
