Invisalign®

Get a straighter smile with Invisalign®—virtually invisible, custom-fit aligners made for your lifestyle.

What is the Invisalign System?

The Invisalign System is a virtually invisible and hygienic orthodontic treatment that uses an innovative approach to effectively straighten teeth. With the proprietary SmartTrackTM material, the Invisalign System uses a series of custom-made removable aligners created just for you.

These aligners are made of a virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth to gradually move them to the ideal position. Most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them, allowing you to keep your lifestyle during treatment. The Invisalign System is available through Invisalign-trained doctors who determine the treatment plan.

Procedure for Invisalign® Treatment

Step 1: Consultation

Book a consultation for us to understand your goals and to assess if Invisalign is suitable for you

Step 2: Record Taking

Records such as X-rays, intraoral and extraoral photos, digital scan or impressions will be taken to aid in treatment planning

Step 3: Treatment Plan

A customized 3D plan (referred to as ClinCheck® treatment plan) is then created. You will be able to see how your teeth will shift with each aligner change and get a virtual preview of how your final smile will look like.

Step 4: Aligner Collection

A series of custom-made aligners will be given to you for you to change them every 1-2 weeks.

Step 5: Treatment Progress

A review would be scheduled with your dentist every 6-8 weeks to monitor if your teeth are moving as planned.

Step 6: Completion

On completion of your treatment, you will be required to wear retainers to ensure your teeth stay aligned.

Common FAQs

Attachments are small tooth-coloured bumps that are placed onto your teeth during aligner treatment. They are made of composite resin, a tooth filling material, and are bonded to specific teeth to assist in achieving more precise and controlled tooth movements. They are discreet in appearance and are removed at the end of the treatment, leaving the tooth surface intact.
You will visit your dentist for a review approximately every 4 - 8 weeks to see how your treatment is progressing. During your visits, your dentist will check that the aligners are fitting well and make adjustments if necessary.
Similar to other orthodontic treatments, the Invisalign aligners may temporarily affect the speech of some people for a day or two. However, as your tongue gets used to having aligners in your mouth, any misarticulation or minor speech impediment caused by the aligners should disappear.
Invisalign treatment is generally not considered painful, but some patients may feel temporary minor discomfort for a few days especially when starting a new set of aligners. This is normal and is typically described as a feeling of pressure or tightness. It is sign that the aligners are gently moving your teeth into the intended position.
Yes, teeth can slowly shift back to their original positions without proper retention. This is called a relapse and can occur if retainers are not worn as advised.
